COUNCILMAN TAUBENBERGER PICKS UP MANY KEY ENDORSEMENTS IN HIS RE-ELECTION BID
PHILADELPHIA, PA, October 3, 2019 -- Incumbent Philadelphia City Councilman Al Taubenberger, a life-long resident of the Fox Case neighborhood in Northeast Philadelphia, has thus far picked up 20 valuable endorsements in his bid for a second term on City Council. The list of endorsing organizations includes a triumvirate of public safety unions, including Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 5, Pennsylvania FOP Lodge 37 - PA State Police and Philadelphia Firefighters & Paramedics Local Union 22. Taubenberger also earned the coveted endorsement of the Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce, along with a wealth of other high-profile unions. Taubenberger has unique experience in both worlds, having served for years as the President of the Northeast Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce and as a card-carrying member of the Teamsters Union.
"I am humbled by the incredible level of support I have received to date from the business community and Philadelphia's proud labor community," said Taubenberger. "I have always promoted a strong alliance between unions and the business sector because it makes for a strong local economy.
